Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy:

Training Efficiency - “the highest results obtained at the least expense of time and energy.”

We believe in having our athletes train as much as necessary, not as much as possible.  We want to use the most efficient training means for our athletes that transfer to improved results in their sport.

Too many programs are designed to throw as much as they can at our athletes in hopes that they get short-term results. However, all to often this leads to inadequate adaptations and recoveries thus leading to overuse injuries and burn out.

The overall objective of our programming is for the long-term development of our athletes.  We want to “slow-cook” our athletes to allow for a fuller adaptation and a richer development to the training.  Development of the human body is a process that shouldn’t be rushed, however it can be messed up if athletes are exposed to means & methods that they are not fully prepared to handle.

"The most frequent coaching error is when he strives to obtain an increase in the athletes physical fitness level as soon as possible; increasing the training loads volume. However, "nine pregnant women together cannot assure the baby's birth after one month.”

- Dr. Yuri Verkhoshansky

We strongly believe in educating our athletes with the effects of stress (physical and psychological) along with hygienic care. The more self-aware our athletes are in how to keep care of their bodies and minds, the better results they will achieve on and off of the field.
