Program

Brain Gains.

Every Child Learns Differently.
Every Child Moves Differently.

  • Some children struggle to focus.
  • Some struggle to coordinate their bodies.
  • Some avoid sports.
  • Some become frustrated learning new skills.
  • Some simply don't seem as confident as their peers.

Our Brain Gains program helps identify what's limiting your child's development, then creates an individualized plan to strengthen the foundations for learning, movement, and confidence.

Assess. Don't Guess.

The Possibility

Imagine Watching Your
Child…

Join games without hesitation.
Ride a bike with confidence.
Learn new skills more easily.
Enjoy sports instead of avoiding them.
Enjoy reading.
Walk into school believing in themselves.
Feel proud of what they can do.
The Problem

Every Child Deserves
To Feel Confident.

  • Learning new skills.
  • Paying attention.
  • Playing sports.
  • Keeping up in school.
  • Making friends.

Sometimes the foundational systems supporting learning and movement need a little more development.

Comprehensive Assessment

Assess.
Don't Guess.

Through comprehensive assessments and individualized programming, we evaluate and strengthen the foundational systems that form the base of the Pyramid of Learning.

What The Assessment Covers

  • Primitive reflex integration
  • Vestibular (balance) function
  • Visual skills & eye coordination
  • Sensory processing & integration
  • Right/left brain & body integration
  • Proprioception & body awareness
  • Postural control & stability
  • Rhythm, timing & motor planning
  • Coordination & movement efficiency
  • Fundamental movement patterns
The Program

What We Assess
& Develop.

Primitive Reflex Integration

Identifying and integrating retained primitive reflexes that interfere with movement, learning, and neurological development.

Vestibular (Balance) Function

Evaluating and developing the balance and spatial orientation system that underlies all coordinated movement.

Visual Skills & Eye Coordination

Assessing eye tracking, convergence, peripheral awareness, and visual-motor integration for athletic and academic performance.

Sensory Processing & Integration

Understanding how the nervous system receives, organizes, and acts on sensory information from the body and environment.

Right/Left Brain & Body Integration

Developing communication between brain hemispheres and coordination between the two sides of the body.

Proprioception & Body Awareness

Training the body's internal GPS — its ability to sense position, movement, and force without visual input.

Postural Control & Stability

Building the automatic postural systems that create a stable base for all movement, sport, and learning.

Rhythm, Timing & Motor Planning

Developing the neurological timing systems that coordinate sequences of movement with precision and efficiency.

Pyramid of Learning

Higher-level skills like attention, coordination, and athletic performance are built on a foundation of healthy sensory and motor development. We work from the base up.

Melillo Method® Certified

A brain-based developmental approach focused on identifying and addressing functional imbalances within the nervous system — supporting neurological organization and sensory-motor function.

The Result

What You Can
Expect.

  • Move with greater confidence and coordination
  • Learn new skills more effectively
  • Improve posture and movement quality
  • Enhance focus, attention, and processing speed
  • Develop stronger athletic abilities
  • Reach higher levels of performance and resilience

Move better. Learn faster. Perform at their highest potential — on and off the field.

Why It Works

The Science
Made Visual.

Brain-based training is grounded in how the nervous system actually develops. These visuals show why reflex integration, rhythm, timing, and neurological organization matter for movement, learning, and performance.

The brain behind every move — neurological organization, movement and coordination, body awareness, vision and balance, and processing and development explained
Benefits of rhythm and timing training — improves attention, reading fluency, coordination, balance, working memory, motor planning, and more
Retained primitive reflexes lead to altered stress response and are linked to autism, dyslexia, autoimmunity, ADHD, and related symptoms like pain, depression, school challenges, stress, lessons, and headaches
The Results

Real Outcomes. Measurable Change.

Some of the results athletes and students have achieved through the Brain Gains program — across academics, processing, and overall development.

Brain Gains program results: 20% reading growth, 34.6% math growth, and high risk to low risk improvement across DC Sports Training athletes
A Parent's Story

We originally brought our son, Finn, to DC Sports Training for what we thought was speed, agility, and strength training. What we didn't realize at the time was that we were stepping into something so much more impactful. Jeff Moyer is not only an expert in athletic development, but also certified in Brain Balance — and that's where everything changed.

Through his work with Jeff, we discovered that Finn had some developmental imbalances that were affecting both his physical and academic performance. We had no idea how crucial it is to have a balanced brain — and how deeply that balance affects every area of life.

Since Finn began working with Jeff regularly, our lives have truly been transformed. We've changed our eating habits, removed foods that negatively affect brain function, and as a family, we've become healthier, happier, and more connected. Most incredibly, Finn's performance in school has skyrocketed. A few years ago, he needed support in math. Now? He just qualified to take a test that could allow him to skip an entire grade level in math. From a sports perspective, he's thriving like never before.

Words can't express how grateful we are to have found Jeff. I will say — this is not a quick fix. It takes commitment. Jeff shows up 100%, and he expects the same from the student and their family. But if you're willing to put in the work, the results speak for themselves. Jeff Moyer and DC Sports Training have truly changed our lives.
